Dr. Leath has been my gynocologist for about five years. She is very knowledgeable and professional, but is also very kind, thoughtful, personal and personable. She truly cares for her patients. She has guided me through perimenopause, and when my periods continued to cause problems during chemo for breast cancer treatment she performed a hysterectomy for me. In fact, when I was getting my pap smear a little late last summer she asked if I had an appointment to get a mammogram. I was focused on getting my youngest ready for college and was planning to wait to make the appointment. Dr. Leath made the appointment for my mammogram for me, and that was when my breast cancer was found. She was the one to call and tell me I had cancer, and apologized for telling me on the phone but said that she would want to know if it was her. I agreed, wholeheartedly. (She had gotten to know me, and knew I would want to know.) When I went by her office to thank her for making the appointment because they'd caught it early, she hugged me and again apologized for telling me over the phone. As we have discussed the hysterectomy, she has been very professional and an excellent doctor, and has also been personal and helped with any information we've needed. She did a wonderful job on the surgery, too; her placement of incisions has made for a much easier and less painful recovery! I highly recommend her!
