Dr. Stephen H. Fehnel is my GYN and performed my hysterectomy (TVH). Before the surgery, he actually listened to me vent about my problems and heard what I said. He then helped me understand why these things were happening. He didn't disagree with me, talk over me, or down play my agony- he actually understood and listened to me. He is experienced, serious, and comforting. I have never felt this comfortable speaking to a GYN before! I felt safe in his care.
After an examination and a D&C, we both decided that a hysterectomy was my best option. He was calming and caring before and after the surgery- and the surgery went perfectly with no complications. (The staff at his surgery center was also wonderful.)
It is now 4 days after my surgery and I already feel better today than I did before the surgery. He made my pain and agony disappear and I am looking forward to my new life!
