Dr. Mary Misischia, D. O. is currently in Oak Ridge TN with Thompson Cancer Survival Center. I was referred to her several years ago when my Oncologist left his practice in Oak Ridge. This doctor was able to pinpoint some cause and effects from cancer treatments I received in 1970 for Hodgkins Disease. UNtil 10 years ago I ran 7 miles a day, then in the mid 2000s I lost my energy, was depressed, had GERD, could not climb a flight of stairs etc. None of the many doctors could help me. "Dr Mary" smiled upon hearing my complaints and sent me to have my lungs and heart checked....she already knew why I was sickly! I had asthma from XRay treatments and chemo therapy. I was down to 70% lung function and had significantly scarred blood vessels. I am at 98% lung function and on Crestor to prevent further vessel damage. I am happy. Dr. Mary sees me every 6 months to watch my blood for other latent disease from my 1970 treatments.... I am enjoying my cancer survival now. I have had a dozen side effects from my cancer treatment of 40 years ago including several forms of cancer (this year prostate cancer). I literally owe my life to Dr. Mary, and she is always happy to see a survivor. I have referred another person who had similar Hodgkins history and she has done much of the same medical help for (her).
Mary has worked miracles for me...I say miracles, because I have seen dozens of very good doctors over the years, but only she knew the issues and the cures!

Mary is always smiling, never rushes me, and makes me feel like whatever I encounter, we can fix. I know she is human, but she is Super-Doctor to me!
