Dr. Isbell performed my DaVinci total hysterectomy (dvTH). He came highly recommended by my GP as "the" person to perform this surgery. While researching Dr. Isbell, everyone I spoke to, whether patient or someone in the medical field, only had good things to say about him. They praised his personality, bedside manner and most importantly, his skill and experience at performing the surgery. I made an appointment for a consultation. He patiently and thoroughly answered all of my questions as well as my husband's questions. He gave me options and honest answers from his experience. I never felt as though he was in a rush. As other people noted - he has a great bedside manner - which helps during big decisions in life. I had a previous surgery, with a different surgeon, approximately a year and half before seeing Dr. Isbell. I would, without a doubt, choose Dr. Isbell and wish I had gone to him first. The staff at his office are also great.

My surgery took place without incident. The nurses and staff, at the hospital he is affiliated with, were great. Like Dr. Isbell, they were kind and caring. I researched quite a bit about DaVinci and hysterectomies in general. With any surgery, there are risks. I experienced very little pain. I was up and about quickly. I have no bladder/bowel issues. Although I kept my ovaries, I've had no personality change or other hormonal issues. My incisions are healing quite nicely and although I'm too early in the healing process to have intercourse, I have feelings of arousal. I know that sexual dysfunction is a concern for many.

My experience has been so positive, I've referred a friend to Dr. Isbell. If you're contemplating a hysterectomy or need a hysterectomy (or other surgery). I urge you to consult with Dr. Isbell. I'm very happy with my choice. Thank you Dr. Isbell. I truly appreciate you.

Dr. Isbell was a GOD send!! He performed a total hysterectomy using the da Vinci robotic system. In one word.. AMAZING!! I am three and a half weeks post op but my recovery has been great! Minimal cramping, only light bleeding, some lifting and exercise restrictions but totally acceptable considering the trade-off. Dr. Isbell was thorough, professional, had great bed-side manner and is a highly capable surgeon. He performed the da Vinci beautifully and he also discovered and removed some endometriosis.. BONUS!! Thank you, Dr. Isbell! I couldn't have asked for more.

Dr. Isbell is a SUPER HERO in my book. He is totally professional, caring and knows what he is doing. I have had two surgeries with Dr. Isbell, one being a total Hysterectomy, and went thru this surgery and the previous one with no after effects or PAIN!!. He explains every detail to you so that you do understand what will happen, before, during and after. I have never felt so good after a surgery than the ones from Dr. Isbell. I have been a patient of Dr. Isbell for over 20 years. I liked him the very first time I met him and felt totally at ease. When we would talk about a procedure I needed he would even draw a picture to help me know exactly what the problem was and what needed to be done. I was later diagnosed with endometrium cancer in 2002, I wasn't afraid or nervous about what needed to be done as I had Dr. Isbell by my side and the Lord Jesus Christ on Our side. We prayed together before my surgery and I knew that all was going to be just fine and consider Dr. Isbell as part of my personal miracle. When my GP retired, I cried and will cry again when the day comes that Dr. Isbell retires. I have been very blessed to have found him 20 + years ago. Dr. Isbell is cheerful, comforting, friendly, trustworthy, experienced, diligent and very competent. In the past I have had Doctors who don't listen to you, cut you off when you are trying to explain what is going on and they interject what they think the problem is before you can finish telling them what your symptoms are or they patronize you or treat you like you are an idiot. I have never had this happen with Dr. Isbell, he truly listens and is 100% interested with what is going on with you and your problem. He is a rare find.

I was referred to this surgeon by my OB/GYN. I needed a surgery that my referring OB/GYN did not herself perform. I have always had female OB/GYNs but I trusted in the referral I received to Dr Isbell. From my first visit with him I was totally put at ease. I felt he was caring,thoughtful, confident and didn't rush me at all and answered all of my questions. I ended up having an excellent outcome with my surgery and am very glad I went with this doctor!

Not only is he an amazing surgeon (I've healed so fast!), his bedside manner is outstanding. I have never had this level of listening, open communication, compassion, and old-fashioned caring in a physician before. Couldn't be happier.

He delivered my first son by c-section. He made my pregnancy seem less scary, and answered all questions I had. He has a very calm demeanor and put me at ease instantly. I give him a 10!

Dr Isbell has delivered all 3 of my children. He is extremely caring and takes time with his patients. He is very funny and will answer any question you have no matter how routine or embarrassing. When I was diagnosed with precancerous cells on my cervix he performed the LEEP at the surgical center at Evergreen Hospital. He was very comforting and explained everything beforehand. I would recommend him to any woman having a baby or facing a gynecological issue. He really is one of a kind.

I was referred to Dr. Isbell during the Summer of 2006. His specialty is Obstetrics and Gynecology. I am 46 and had dealt with severe PMS for over 15 years. I was seeking a full hysterectomy after having had exhausted all other avenues of treatment. Dr. Isbell spent time consulting with me & after going over my medical history agreed to perform the hysterectomy. Surgery took place at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, WA in October of 2006 & the whole experience was wonderful.
