Dr. Brickman has been my ob/gyn for the last 10 years. I've had chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, unpredictable periods, heavy and painful. We've tried everything possible to get some normalcy to my periods. She removed my right ovary and tube, that helped for a while. We've tried all birth control pulks, and it seemed the best was the Depo Provera, but once I found out insurance would no longer cover it, I came off of it. She has been amazing. I finally came to the point that I knew I couldn't have children and if I did get pregnant it would most likely be a dangerous pregnancy. We agreed that it may be time for hysterectomy; neither of us took this decision lightly or rushed into it-it's been 10 years that we have put it off and hoped for a different solution. I'm at peace with having this surgery and I couldn't have asked for a better, more compassionate doctor to walk with me through this journey. I'm forever grateful for her and highly recommend her to any woman needing someone who is knowledgeable and understands the struggles women face with their gyn issues.
