I highly recommend Dr. Amanda Nickles Fader for treatment of endometrial cancer. When I received the diagnosis of cancer, my GYN referred me to an oncologist here in northern VA; since I felt I got the brush-off with some of the answers from him, I decided to get a 2nd opinion. I researched for the best cancer center in the area and chose to go to the 3rd highest ranking cancer center in America, Johns Hopkins (it’s worth the 90 minute drive). I chose Dr. Fader because of her high ranking based on peer review, and because of her research work on minimally invasive surgury and high-risk endometrial cancer. Dr. Fader has extensive training and experience in the use of Da Vinci robotics to perform gyn surgeries.
Dr. Fader is very supportive; she took the time to explain everything to me and encouraged me to ask questions. I never felt like she was too busy to talk to me. I had the Da Vinci robotic laparoscopic total hysterectomy & BSO 1 week ago; recovery has been excellent thus far. The surgery went well and I received excellent care from all the doctors & nurses at Hopkins. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Fader and Hopkins!
