Dear Dr. Goyal:
Thank you for your excellent care. It’s been sixty days since the surgery and I feel normal, much better than before the surgery. In fact I can’t even tell I had a surgery, except that the chronic pain is gone.
I am very grateful for all of the many years you spent learning your profession and making yourself available to fix my hip. My experience with you was the best medical care I have ever encountered. My wife, who is not easy to please, was also impressed with you and your skills. We have been telling anyone who will listen of how great you are as a doctor and surgeon.
The first meeting with you was excellent. You treated us with respect, you answered all of our questions and you weren’t distracted or rushed. Everything you told us came true. At the hospital your personal attention and visiting me after the surgery really helped to comfort my anxiety. My wife was really impressed.
When we came back for our 4 week check-up we were amazed that you remembered we were dancers and had done some research to help us understand how soon I can return to competition. Again you treated us with respect and compassion.
Finally, when you looked at my incision, you left the room to get alcohol to clean off the surgical tape. My friends are amazed when I tell them this part of the story. They cannot believe a surgeon would take the time to personally clean the incision. That act of kindness spoke volumes of the kind of person you are.
