Dr. Kasten was the best during and after my last pregnancy/delivery. He always took the time to sit with me in his office after my visits for as long as I needed, which made me feel so much more at ease (as opposed to sitting there with a gown on slouched at the end of an exam table).
He took every concern seriously and explained everything very clearly. And on the big day, he was right there with pain management all ready and set to go. Which is what I wanted, not what he "pushed". In fact, he always explained all options to me unbiased, and let me make my own decisions. There were some complications during delivery, but he handled them like a pro and never let on that my son had his cord around his neck. He just did his job and took care of business...which was great and exactly what I needed. Someone in control.
And now, 3 years later, he still takes his time during every visit, and sits and talks with me about how things are going, kids, husband, job. What doctor does that?!?
Now, we're talking mammogram (yikes!). I'm only 35, but he wants a baseline done now so he can monitor any changes.
I highly recommend Dr. Kasten. With him, I know I'm not seeing just an experienced and informed doctor, but someone who shows a real interest in me as a person - and that just isn't common any more.
