I am 47 years old and have had problems with the women's dept., from the onset of menses at 13.
Because of abnormal paps and other female issues, have seen OB/GYN's an average of every three months for most of my adult life.
I have lived in many different states and had so many different OB/GYN's that I have lost count ! Old, young, mail, female- Dr. Peter Auerbach is the best OB/GYN I have ever had.
I recommend Dr. Auerbach to anyone looking for a good Doctor/OB/GYN., especially those who are uncomfortable with pelvic exams or who haven't had their first one.
He is always very gentle, says hello and talks with you, not over/around you, explains what he will be doing before proceeding, listens to concerns and answers questions patiently, thoroughly and in simple terms. He is caring and even tempered, never appearing rushed.
And because he does take the time to listen and answer fully he's always running late!
He apologizes each time it happens and I doubt that many complain much but his staff should schedule appointments a little less densely.

Unfortunately, Dr. Auerbach is contemplating taking his practice out of Connecticut because of rising malpractice insurance premiums in the state.
