Dr. Smith has been my Primary Care Dr. since 1996. In that time he has usually been correct and swift to deal with whatever I came in with. I'm a really complex patient anyways with multiple conditions and lots of meds but he still can manage my overall care. He is kind and reassuring and able to handle just about any condition with good knowledge of the latest treatments. I don't know how he can cover so many areas so well. I owe him a special debt of gratitude for saving my husband's life and quality of life. My husband came in for a checkup with a slight anemia and slightly elevated prostate test. I think another Dr. would have said not to worry about either, both tests were only slightly elevated. Dr. Smith followed up and sent him for biopsy--it turned up cancer! Luckily we caught it just before it was out of 'early stage'. Meaning that if he had waited a year it would have been a lot harder to treat. My husband had radiation at RCOG.com and is good as new, here a year later. We know a few men who did surgery and are now having to do chemo due to spreading cancer. Well, anyway, I love Dr. Smith. He always refers me to the best of doctors when needed. He is always sensible in his approach. Also, I have seen another Dr. or two from the same practice (when Dr. Smith was out) and they were good also. I should mention again, I have multiple stuff I'm treated for, and I've been through so much in my life you could call me a VERY discerning and particular healthcare customer. I can tell a good Dr. pretty quickly and I've been seeing him for 11 years.
