I love Dr. Hayes!! This is my first pregnancy and I was kind nervous at the beginning. Dr. Hayes was with me for the whole 41 weeks and of course in the delivery room. She is very knowledgeable, support,patient and humorous. She is also very gentle and I didn't even notice she did the pap smear tests, cervix exams... since she could make me totally relax. On the big day, Dr. Hayes came to the delivery room when my husband and I just arrived the hospital (not like most OBs who show up at the last minute). She did all the cervix check and even did perineal message for me. she slept at hospital the night i was in labor.I pushed for almost three hours and she was with me the whole time, holding the towel for me that I could push better. I feel she really cares about me and I totally trust her. I will definitely go to her for my second pregnancy. It is true that sometime i have to wait in an appointment when she is behind the schedule but it worth the waiting!

2 years ago I had my first child. I started my care at another place and left so sad every time with tons of unanswered questions. That being my first pregnancy I had no idea what to expect or do. I was scared to death. After 4 months of leaving every appointment sad and confused I searched around and found Dr. Karen Hayes. I met with her for an hour for an interview and by the time I left I made the rest of my appointments. Just within that hour she had answered all questions that I had and even some I didn't know I had. She is willing to spend time with you and make sure you understand everything she is telling you. I felt like she "held my hand" through my first pregnancy. Thank GOD for Dr. Karen Hayes. I am now on my second pregnancy 2 years later and nothing has changed. (Excecpt I am not as scared this time) I know I have exceptional care from her and if bad things do happen, she will be there for me and guide me in the best thing to do for me and my baby.

I truely recommend all of Northern Colorado to her.

I had my total hysterectomy with Dr. Hayes on 3/11/08. I went to her with great pain, which because it was unexplained, many doctors had ignored for years though I had specifically gone in requesting thatthey adress the issue. Her staff listened patiently as a very emotional me cried and whined about the pain and agony and list of docs who would not listen and they never gave up on me. They just let me talk and got me an appointment. I cannot tell you how happy I am that a friend referred me to A Woman's Place of Fort Collins.

Dr. Hayes took her time with me and also took a complete medical and sexual history. She was able to let me know that even without laporascopic procedure, she could say that I probably had a good case of Endometriosis. We then went through options to see if I wanted to do the Lupron Depot treatment or proceed to surgery. I chose surgery and now, just 3 months later, I am recovering and on my way to being a healthy, happy woman again (AND have the validating pathology of Adenomyosis, as well! Harrumph!). It is also notable that the staff at the hospital seems to maintain a very high level of respect for this doctor.

After so many years, it was a validating experience to finally have a doctor who not only LISTENED to me, but strove to find answers.

By-the-way, my mom actually told me that should she ever have GYN issues again, she would not hesitate to make an appointment with Dr. Hayes... and she does NOT change doctors easily!
