Dr Cowan has handled the delivery of 2 of my children and held our hands through many misscarriages. He has an amazing talent for really and HONESTLY making you feel better when times get hard. He keeps every patient on a personal level. He has only the best of the best in his staff. Dr. Cowan is not just a great doctor he is an amazing surgeon. Both of the two children he delivered for me were repeat c sections and my VERY unnoticable scars show his talents. I had an amazing recovery both times. Oh and did I mention his amazing support through my last delivery when my husband deployed the next day.... Dr. Cowan visited me everyday and sat with me and talked. He is a comfort and an angel. I would put my life and my childrens life in his hand with no doubt ever.

Dr. Cowan has been my OB/GYN for over 10 years now. He's been with me through two pregnancies, a miscarriage and a hysterectomy. He is patient, attentive, kind, informative and very much lets the patient be active in their own care. When he told me that I was going to need a hysterectomy, he told me that he would NOT perform the surgery until I could tell him that I was at peace with it. (It wasn't an emergency situation, but it was a "within the next few years" situation.) I HIGHLY recommend him! I have heard that all of the other doctors in the same practice (Austin Area OB/GYN) are equally impressive.
