I was referred to Dr. Antos in 2000 because of these terrible pains I kept getting on my left side. This was shortly after I had a hysterectomy. I was so afraid. But he ordered a colonoscopy in which was found I had Diverticulitis. So that was the cause of these "attacks" I'd have off and on thru the year. So once I knew what was wrong, I was okay with the diagnose. Since then I see him twice a year so we can talk about the frequency of my attacks and at that time he prescribes pain medicine and antibiotics to help me thru those times. As of right now there is no immediate need for surgery, which I am very happy about but I am DUE for another colonoscopy this year. But anyway, he's a great gastrologist that really listens.
