When I first met Dr. Khamvongsa I was already frustrated with my previous GYN because I kept complaining about pain and swelling in my lower abdominal area for 2 years and he did nothing about it. He kept blaming the pain on possible adhesions.
Due to a history of problems I knew something was not right and a in conversation with a friend, she recommended Dr. Khamvongsa.
Upon my first visit to Dr. K he was immediately concerned and started narrowing down the possilities through an immediate course of action. We was great at explaining every process I would be going through and didn't give up till he found the problem which was a cyst inside my left fallopian tube that was only seen through lap arthroscopy. I felt relief right away and although the surgery was not for fertility purposes I can say that I had a wonderful surprise 2 months after my surgery and I am now 8 months pregnant.
Dr. K has been excellent every step of the way and has shown compassion every step of the way. When people comment about not being a number to him they are absolutely correct. He genuinely cares for his patients...he is a friend.

I have always seen female doctors, and was in between doctors when I became pregnant for the first time. I was refereed to a new doctor that made me feel like a number instead of a person. That's when I found Dr. Khamvongsa. I was reluctant to see a male doctor, but with my first pregnancy as high risk, I had to go to the best in Miami. In our first meeting, I was already 7 weeks along with a hemorrage in my uterus. Dr. Khamvongsa explained to my husband and I the pros and cons, remained positive the entire time, and spent 30 minutes with us until he knew we were comfortable with the situation. Unfortunately I lost the baby. Dr. Khamvongsa was very comforting and caring the whole way through. He always gives me a hug (what doctor does that?) and remembers my name and medical history without ever looking at the records. He is top notch and a God send as a doctor, who really cares about his patients by treating them like human beings.

Dr. Khamvongsa is the best gynecologist I've been to in Miami. He takes his patients seriously, listens with sensitivity and compassion and then beautifully articulates a course of action. He has a wonderful bedside manner, has an incredible educational background and is on the cutting edge with surgery. I can't recommend him enough!

When I tried getting pregnant, Dr. K walked me through all the processes. I had a complicated time getting pregnant and he tried every measure to assist me along the way. His patience is unmeasurable. When I finally did get pregnant, he was there to listen and help me through the toughest time. I got pregnant during the year that we were hit with three hurricanes, two of them sent me to the hospital with false labor. His beautiful personality helped guide me through it all.

I have switched dr.s several times in the past years until I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Khamvongsa. He is extremely professional and also able to give information at a level where it is easily understood. The nurses on staff are also amazing. I fully recommend him. My younger sisters have also started seeing him. He is informative and patient with them. Always making sure to answer any questions.

Dr Khamvongsa was the first male Dr I saw after I became pregnant at 42. I was hesitant but needed a practice with more than 3 doctors since I was consider high risk with this pregnancy and 4 previous miscarriages. Dr K becomes your friend and LISTENS to your concerns, he does not even have to look at your records to remember what he told you or recommended on the last visit. His professionalism is excellent and his friendly person makes you feel comfortable and at ease right away. He delivered my daughter and I recommended him to 6 coworkers ( 2 have delivered with him). I would not change him for any other Dr. He is the best!

It isn't easy to recommend a doctor, but when you have excellent care like the one I received from Dr Peter Khamvongsa, it's a piece of cake. Not only does he have impressive credentials, but his bedside manner is one to brag about. He made me feel comfortable with my annual exam, and answered all my questions without hesitation. I never felt rushed. He kept his professionalism at all times. The patients I conversed with in the waiting room, also felt the same way about him. Don't think twice about meeting Dr Khamvongsa as your next OB/GYN. :)

I went to Dr. Khamvongsa almost three years ago with very heavy bleeding and bleeding more than once a month. He has alot of compassion and takes the time to listen to you and works with you he doesn't rush you into surgery he offers different options for you to take. I would recommend him to any women who wants to really feel that you are being listened to and not just pushed through the sytem.
