Spending Easter Sunday in the emergency room, was not the first choice on my list of things to do for that day, neither was receiving an emergency referral for a male doctor that I did not know. Having said that, both events brought me to what I believe is the best specialty doctor's office in Tulsa. I walked in a freak out scared women in physical pain with (can't remember technical term) a bleed that was beyond annoying. I left a much calmer woman with facts, options, and a plan of action.

In what ways do I recommend him? Dr Beal was my surgeon for an unexpected partial hysterectomy. In the examination process he shares the truth, the medical facts, and his opinion. He also listens to you, processes what you tell him and includes you in every step of the decision making process. There does not appear to be a condescending bone in his body - as can happen with some doctors. He's calm, very warm and friendly - and cares passionately about women's health. All of which calmed me down. I also found him to be very educational in regards to post op issues and concerns. As for his surgical abilities, my uterine fibroid was rather large (500 grams) and the easy way would have been cut me open - he chose a more difficult option (vag assisted lapro) that brings with it a quicker recovery time and fewer complications. My post op well being was a major concern and driving factor in his choices. I appreciate that.

Excellent care all the way around. Positive and upbeat staff as well. I'd definately recommend him as a GYN.
