Dr. Reid treated me when my regular OB/GYN was concerned that I had ovarian cancer. I had a complete hysterectomy. Dr. Reid's bedside manner is excellent and he is very accessible. He is thorough in his explanation of treatment. I knew I was in good hands even before my surgery. I found his staff to be compassionate and professional. If a patient were to find herself in the position of needed a gynecological oncologist, I would highly recommend Dr. Thomas Reid.

This is the doctor that performed my hysterectomy she did an excellent job. Only lost a tablespoon of blood and she did an oopherectomy and total hysterectomy and took out my cervix. She has worked very hard to help get my estrogen to the best level for me. I recovered very quickly from my surgery

I highly recommend Dr Goldstein. I had suffered for years with endometriosis. He was the first doctor who listened to what I had been though, what treatments I had tried, and he gave me options. He gave me time to decide what treatment I wanted to do.
I decided to have surgery. He explained everything to me in understandable terms. I asked many questions and he answered them.
The morning of my surgery he was very comforting and understanding. He has a great bed side manner. He saw me each day I was in the hospital after my surgery and he called me the first day I was home. I had surgeries before and I never had a doctor do that before.
He is a wonderful doctor.

Dr Stanford is absolutely wonderful! I was only 27 years old when I was told by several doctors in the Carbondale-Marion area that the ONLY way to fix my prolapsed uterus was to do a hysterectomy. I had one small child and I just wasn't ready for that- I thought I might still want to have more children. I was very distraught and in a lot of pain when I stumbled across an article in the paper about Dr Stanford. He had just given a lecture at a major university's medical program and he specialized in pelvic floor reconstructive surgery. I called, expecting to be told he wasn't taking new patients or that I'd have to wait months to see him. To my surprise, I got in almost immediately and was assurred that he could do a relatively simple procedure to fix my prolapsed uterus and bladder that would allow me to have more children in the future if I chose to do so. He was very patient with me as I assaulted him with a battery of questions about my condition and the procedures he planned to do.... [More..]

Dr. Yordan tells you what to expect, and is straightforward. He has a very professional and objective manner. He performed a gyne physical himself, in addition to asking his resident and physician's assistant what they found. He performed a total hysterectomy on me, for endometrial cancer.

Dr. Salchunas is not my regular OBGYN, but is part of the practice with Dr. Stevenson, who is my MD. Dr. Salchunas was on call the day I went into labor with my third daughter. He was calm, compassionate, down-to-earth and very supportive of my needs.
Dr. Salchunas also assisted Dr. Stevenson with my most recent Hyst surgery 4/2006. He made sure he visited the evening after the surgery to answer any questions I might have, and even visited the following days that I was in the hospital. This was much more than I expected from a doctor who was assisting in a surgical procedure.
I find Dr. Salchunas to be compassionate, down-to-earth, caring, pleasant, and respectable. He cares about his work and the women he cares for.
With both hospital experiences that he was a part of, or the time he was on-call for a medical need, I never felt rushed.
When Dr. C was my gynecologist in Houston, he was one of the few doctors I had consistently good experiences with. He listened, and not just about your ob/gyn needs. He knows that your ovaries, etc. are a part of a larger whole and he treats your health accordingly. I wish all doctors were as aware and as kind as he is. And he's funny, too!

Dr Kelly Mah, is a great doctor. I have been going to his office for about 6 yrs now. March 2006 I had a hysterectomy performed by him and his bed side manner is wonderful. His ability to explain the unspoken questions and fears is wonderful. He is very thorough. His office staff is bright and efficient. I highly recommend this doctor.

April 2006 complete hyst & approx Jan 1996 due to an infection had to have another procedure done. With the first surgery, I met him in the ER, where he knew instantly what was wrong with me (this was after trial 'n error w/PCP) and has since been my gyn MD. Prior to both surgeries, he provided plenty of information and answered ALL my questions so that I went in knowing what to expect. With both, I received daily follow-up visits in the hospital and a follow-up call at home to be sure things were healing. In addition, he clearly communicated with my husband, the status of my condition while I was in recovery and why they had gone over the estimated time frame he expected the surgeries to take. He has also been supportive in the follow-up with ERT.
I HIGHLY recommend him, as well as now have my own daughters seeing him for their OB/GYN appointments.
He is trustworthy, knowledgable, pleasant, respectable and professional. More importantly, he cares and respects you as an i... [More..]

Dr. Martin-Guess, has been my doctor for 7 years and is now my daughters OBGYN as well. She has always been a kind and thoughtful, thorough individual. I would not hesitate to recommend her. She is very professional while remaining very approachable. Dr. Martin-Guess, genuinely cares about your entire well-being.
He takes time to explain the problem so you can understand . He tells you all the options and risks. And make you feel comfortable and comes to hospital to see if you have any question In my opinion he is the best doctor I have been to in a long time
Dr. Toaff is a very caring, trustworthy and educated man that specializes in treating gynecological disorders. I had my own personal experience with him after dealing with years of endometriosis and most recently heavy debilitating periods. He performed surgery on me using a special technique which he created and now I am pain free and also I do not have the debilitating periods anymore. He truly is a wonderful Dr. and I recommend him highly.

Dr. Michael Belden is one of the most caring and loving physicians I have ever met. Having surgery at 28 yrs old after 3 children was heartbreaking. I was referred to this Dr. because of his expertise in his field - he specializes in obgyn / oncology - He is the senior in his group. What my regular dr. thought I had was a dermiod cyst on my rt ovary - after Dr. Malfetano reviewed the Ultra sound - it was clear that the cyst should be removed because of its size, we thought it was solid, and the fact that it was not there a year ago - also it was giving me great pain. We talked about my having a hysterectomy at that same time since I was done having children and I weighed all of my options and felt that was the right decision for me. He was the most kind and considerate Dr. I have ever had, he truley listened to me - explained everything to me ( repeating things if nessecary with out getting frustrated, or making me feel stupid) and did not rush me at all in choosing what to do . We knew the cyst should be removed so I went thru with the surgery - the cyst was a blood filled cyst that was leaking into my abdomen - he took the cyst ... [More..]

Dr. Sword performed my hysterectomy. He is extremely caring, gentle, comforting, experienced and trustworthy. He listens to and answers all of your questions, without feeling rushed. My surgery went perfectly and my recovery was very fast. I feel blessed to have him as my gyn and would recommend him to everyone in the Pittsburgh area. Don't be alarmed when you see him, he has a very youthful look! He is older than he looks, has experience and is a wonderful doctor!

I have been a patient of this doctor for over 10 years. She delivered my two youngest children. It's a lot easier talking to a woman doctor about a womens body. When I was pregnant and about to deliver she told me exactly what to expect regarding my mucous plug.... and other things. Recently about a year and a half, she performed an Indometral ablasion surgery using the Nova Sure procedure. She explained the procedure thoroughly and gave me pamplets before I made a decision. The surgery went really well. I had no problems afterward and I have been period free since then. Dr. Brown has a wonderfull staff as well. Her assistant Terry, fills in whenever possible. I believe she is a registered nurse. They are both great!! My 28 yr old daughter is now a patient and Dr. Brown has delivered one of her children and about to deliver another.

Dr. Barbara Sager was recommended to me about 5 years ago after I had been to several doctors that I didn't like about my endometriosis and fibroids. Thanks to her I have felt much more in control of my health since becoming her patient. She is unfailingly pleasant and courteous, thorough and professional. She has seen me through a number of crises and respected my wish to avoid a hysterectomy, but also advised me when it looked like I really needed one. (Fortunately that situation resolved itself without intervention.) I feel she sees me as an intelligent partner in my health care, which is very important to me.
