I was a patient of Dr. Gaunt's for many years. I moved out of state therefore had to find another doctor. I only WISH these doctors were like Dr. Gaunt! He was so easy to talk to....and the most knowledgeable doctor I have EVER seen. He was able to get to the root of my health problems and kept me from taking unnecessary rx's. When I was his patient, I felt better than I had in years. He truly turned the clock back for me. Unfortunately, I have relapsed under these new doctors. Dr. Gaunt is qualified, he is kind, compassionate and you leave his office feeling hopeful about feeling better! Give him the time....and YOU WILL feel better!!!!

Doctor Barker is wonderful. He did my tubla for me in 2004. After numerous female problems I went back to him and found out I have a prolasped uterus with the vaginal and rectual wall falling in. I have had bladder problems that caused me to go alot, leak and feel as though I had not gone completely. He refered me for a test which just showed my bladder was acting as it was full and bladder spasms. I went in for another test. Dr Barker said no reason to do surgery on a bladder if no need. Well the potassium test showed the bladder lining was inflammed he immediately got me on meds. A great relief. Now I am scheduled for uterus removal and vaginal wall and rectal wall repair on June 11th 2008. I have no worries I am in the greatest hands possible.
Got an appt in 1 day! Dr. Smith explained everything, acted quickly, and has a marvelous staff (her nurse, Lisa, is responsive, supportive and very friendly). Dr. Smith called me the day before surgery to see if I had any questions, and spoke with me again just before surgery which greatly calmed my fears. She is very personable and exceedingly competent. I highly recommend her, especially to those who are very fearful of seeing an 'oncologist' -- don't be afraid to see Dr. Smith!

Dr. Murray is an exceptional doctor. She treats patients like doctors did 50 years ago, when they knew everyone in the family and had watched them all turn into adults. She has outstanding medical knowledge, an excellent memory, and exceptional people skills. She diagnoses her patients ills effortlessly and treats responsibly. I have seen her for general well care as well as, sports injuries, shortness of breath, and elevated heart rate.

He is an amazing doctor.. He has a heart and actually cares for his patients. He is honest, and forth coming. I have had this man fix me when I have had no other hope. He is a professional in all ways, and yet he becomes your friend as well. He gives you the time you deserve in your appoitments. He doesnt just shove you asside like other doctors do. I recommend him because he is a proffesional at his job, He knows what he is doing, and if he has doubts, he wont do it. He makes you feel comfortable at all times, and to me that is very important. I have nothing but nice things to say about the man, he has truly been blessed with a gift..

Dr. Siegel is a one of a kind doctor! He truly does care about his patients and their health. Dr. Siegel helped me when I was about to give up! I had seen so many doctors and no one would help me. I had Interstim issues and Dr. Siegel was very willing to help me. His knowledge and compassion is a rare find! I traveled a far ways to see him and I would do it all over again! Dr. Siegel placed a new Interstim and I am so pleased with everything. I couldn't have found a more wonderful doctor and nursing staff! The entire facility made me feel like home when I was so far from it! Thank you for giving me hope back when I felt hope was all gone!
If you have any urinary issues I would recommend Dr. Siegel in a heartbeat!

Dr. Samundsen is the most caring compassionate doctor I ever met. I have been through many doctors and not a single one has ever cared as much as Dr. Samundsen. He LISTENS to you and any concerns you have. He takes all the time in the world to help you feel comfortable with your illness and options in treating it. Dr. Samundsen goes above and beyond the call of duty! He is truly a rare find and I hope he stays in our area forever!! You can feel comfortable talking about anything at all with Dr. Samundsen.

Dr. Powell is an amazingly skilled surgeon who has an incredible, comforting bedside manner. He is truly a pioneer in the field of sleep surgery and very much understands the concerns/issues of his patients.
For anybody considering sleep apnea-related surgeries, I can't recommend him and his group enough. From the staff to the surgeons, service is absolutely as it should be--top notch.
I had two major surgeries with Dr. Powell over the course of two years, both of which were greatly helpful.
I think the biggest complement I can pay him is that I chose to fly 1000s of miles to get treated by him--I think that says it all.

Dr. Saar has an incredible bedside manner surpassed only by his talent and expertise as a surgeon. He works in plastics and reconstructive surgery. After having four children, the last two as a set of twins, needless to say, my body had been through quite a bit. I had abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) in May 2007. While this is a cosmetic procedure, it was even more to me. It not only restored my stomach to that of my dreams, but also restored my confidence, and made me feel better overall about myself. Dr. Saar does not make promises he cannot keep, does explain the risks, benefits and alternatives, and is up front about scarring etc. I highly recommend him for any cosmetic or reconstructive surgery needed.

I saw Dr. Hill last year because my fibroids had returned about 5 years after I had them removed through a bikini cut by another doctor. After reviewing my options Dr. Hill was very respectful of my desire to keep my uterus, even though I am done having children. He performed a laparoscopic fibroid removal and took out 6 fibroids! My bleeding returned to normal, no more pain or pressure, and the cuts were tiny. After my 1st surgery I spent 4 days in the hospital, but after the scope I went home the same evening as the surgery. His nurse told me that he has started doing robotic surgery for fibroids and other conditions, which sounds pretty cool. I recommend him as a kind, thoughtful, funny, and smart doctor. Much to my dismay I have had cancer twice. For the first cancer I went to the Raleigh Regional Cancer Center where Dr. David Shimm was my radiation oncologist. After I finished all of my treatments I felt so confident in Dr. Shimm's expertise and ability that I returned to him to treat my second cancer.
Dr. Shimm's personality and knowledge as an oncologist are unique. For my first cancer I should have been in severe pain because of the place on my body that my cancer was located and removed. Instead he worked up a treatment plan on his equipment that prevented me from having any pain.
I met a woman from out of state that had the same surgery. She stated that on the 18th treatment most of the patients were in too much pain to walk and went to the treatment room in wheelchairs. Unbelievable. I could not relate to that thanks to Dr. Shimm.

Dr. Feuille is absolutely wonderful. I was always very comfortable with the GYN I was seeing in another city and when I moved here I was really concerned about findind a new one. A friend of mine referred me to him and ever since if I ever hear anything positive about a OB/GYN doctor, I know they are talking about him. Dr. Feuille delivered 1 of my children and I never had a concern about anything as he always explained things in detail, he stayed calm and soothing through everything, including delivery, etc. I have never felt I couldn't ask him something and he is always very knowledgable. If I could see him for my regular family practice or anything else, I most definitely would.

I have had some pretty serious female problems most of my life, one thing or another, After experencing serious pain,Dr Hunt and I decided that a complete hystorectomy was needed.
This was a very emotional time for me. The surgery was preformed on 4/23/08.
I have hardly any scars!! I had a complete "hysty" laperscopically and had a much shorter recovery time!!
I stll get a bit tired, one more week till my 6 week check up.
I have been back to work for almost 2 weeks now.
Dr Hunt stays up to date on new procedures , she has a great bedside manner and made me feel like a human and not just another patient.She really takes the time to listen, and I don't feel rushed on my visits.
I highly reccomend her to my friends and even my daughter!

I searched for over 20 years for Dr. Harrington, who is an OB/GYN. Not only did she diagnose my medical condition of Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) - which I've had all my life and no other doctor I ever saw could or would take the time to diagnose - she suggested I be checked for it the very first time she saw me. This occurred when I went in for my annual Pap exam after recently moving to Maryland - I had been referred to her by a co-worker who happened to live in my area as I knew no one and didn't have a doctor. Dr. Harrington obviously recognized the symptoms of PCOS right away. Iwas tested for it and diagnosed within a month. One of the best things about her is she takes time with you. She answers your questions. She listens to you. Any concerns you have she will talk with you about them and give her best medical advice. Among internists and other generalists, Dr. Meineke is one in a million. He knows a lot about the many branches of medicine, listens carefully, and sorts through the available information from you and your other doctors to find the right diagnosis and treatment. He treats his patients like human beings instead of medical problems to rush through. In his 50s (?), he has had a wealth of experience. He was recommended to me by a friend. (He has treated her and her husband for many years.) I am very lucky to be his patient, and would recommend him to anyone.

I came to this sight to find Dr. Helmkamp's phone number and read H.A.'s recommendation. My first meeting and experiences are identical to hers except I have been a patient for 19 years. After my initial treatment I remained with him and never went back to my GYN. 5 years later I needed an invasive and extensive surgery (not related to the first treatment) and was so lucky to have such a gifted Surgeon. I have recommended this practice to many friends and all could not be happier.
