Dr. Durie is by far an exceptional and well trained family doc. He is one of the only docs that I know that will take your call if you need to ask a simple question. Dr. Widstrom is like no other doctor. He takes the time to listen to what the "problem" is and gives you options. Even when you have exausted all the possible options, that surgical hysterectomy may be needed he is willing to talk about options. Dr. Widstrom is truely one of those doctors who shows compassion and isn't afraid to show that he cares about his patients. If you want a doctor who cares, he is your guy. Definately worth the wait to get into see him.

My GP recommended that I see Dr. Johnson last summer.
I was instantly impressed. She has a very laid back demeanor, so I felt comfortable right away. She wanted to run a second ultrasound on me and did so in her office right away. She sat in as the tech did the ultrasound. They both saw the fibroid that needed to go at the same time.
She gave me several options and did not try to sway me one way or the other.
Once at the hospital, I knew that I was in good hands. My follow up visits have been just as great.
I highly recommend her.

Dr. Aikens is a OB/GYN oncologist. I felt extremely confident in his surgical skills. I felt very comfortable even though I was having major "female" surgery. I received and continue to receive excellent care and follow-up. He does great volunteer work in his home country in Africa.

After many years of pain and suffering with bladder problems and seeing at least a dozen doctors over the years my family doctor had heard about Dr. Forrest and made arrangements for me to see him. Dr. Forrest done all my tests the very first day I saw him and told me he was pretty sure what my problem was but he wanted to wait for the results of my tests that had to sent to a lab. In about a week he saw me again and told me I had Interstitial Cystitis and that I had had it for several years. I cried because a doctor that I had previously seen told me it was in my head and another doctor told me I needed more hormones. Dr. Forrest prescribed Elmiron for me and about four years later I am still taking Elmiron and feeling better than I've felt in many, many years.
I still see Dr. Forrest every 6 months for follow-up. I've sent several friends to him and they, like me, think he is the BEST doctor. He is always so friendly and genuinely interested in how you are doing and he loves to talk... [More..]

Dr. Sari Levine is a wonderful, compassionate, woman. She is very knowledgable, and will run as many tests as it takes to find the correct diagnosis.
Dr.Levine actually listens to what her patients have to say. Making each one feel as though they are her only patient, and very important to her! She will actually call you back personally if you have questions!
Her staff are very kind, both on the phone and in person. Many patients coming to her office are in pain, and seeing a smiling face from everyone, always helps one feel better!

Dr. Rahim is the smartest, kindest and most caring neurologist I've ever encountere. I've been diagnosed with MS for nearly 11 years, and he's absolutely the best.
He sincerely cares about each and every patient and is ALWAYS available whenever a patient needs him. He treats his patients with the utmost respect and takes the time to listen to all concerns and answer all questions. He is willing to look into new and different therapies and will help you find and obtain the best treatment for you.

Dr. Christopher Payne is a wonderful Urologist, who specializes in (IC) Interstitial Cystitis. He is extremely knowledgeable about this disease, and is involved in a lot of research projects concerning the Interstitial Cystitis disease. I would recommend Dr. Payne to anyone needing help with this disease!

Dr. Peters is one of the few doctors in Connecticut that special's in IC. She is very compassionate and keeps on trying even when it seems nothing works. IC is very hard to treat and is emotionally and physically draining. It is so nice to finally find someome after 6 years of trying to get help who finally really gets what you are saying. She treats IC as a real medical problem and me as a real human with feelings and emotions. She takes my concerns into consideration and she also uses alterative treatments. I believe she really has my best interests at heart and cares about my pain. She is great!! She is even willing to teach me how to self cath myself and do the in instills at home if they work. This way I don't have to miss work.

Dr. Albee is the best! He is very knowledgable, kind and caring. He is concerned about all his patients and treats us with the utmost respect and courtesy. He will take the time to explain anything you don't understand and answer all your questions. He is very comforting when dealing with illnesses that can cause much distress, both physical and emotional.
He performed my surgery for endometriosis removal in 2001, which was very successful. However, I also had adenomyosis and he performed a hysterectomey in 2006, which solved that problem. No complications with either sugery. His staff is also kind and caring.
I couldn't give him a higher recommendation.

Dr. Hanauer is a wonderful gastroenterologist. He saved my colon after a suburban Chicago hospital wanted to rush me into surgery asap to remove it. I was able to transfer to the University of Chicago Hospital through the kind help of Dr. Hanauer (not an easy thing to do!) and after 5 days of treatment I was able to go home and have been problem free (ulcerative colitis) for 7 years.
He is one of the very top people in his field and a very nice person. He believed that I would get better when I didn't and every day he would come and tell me to "think positive."
His treatment worked and I am eternally grateful to him. I wish all UC and Crohn's disease patients could go to him. Doctors come from all over the world to study his methods.

I went to this doctor through a recommendation from my regular doctor because I was constantly having UTI's (or so I thought). This doctor is a urologist who was almost positive on our first appointment that I had interstatial cystitis (IC). After a procedure, we found that he was correct. He was very friendly and did not dismiss my concerns and listened very carefully when I listed the numerous issues I had and he asked the right questions to determine what was wrong. If anyone, especially women, have issues with numerous UTI's or bladder infections, they should go and see this doctor. He can tell help you.

Dr. Maxymiv is a gentle, caring doctor. He and his partner no longer practice obstetrics, although one of his colleagues delivered my son almost 15 years ago. Last summer, I had a total hysterectomy with complications. When he operated on me, he found a large tumor. He called for assistance and removed it. But I was hospitalized for 6 days due to more complications. He visited me several times a day, even called the nurses in the middle of the night to check on me! Because I have asthma, he sent a lung specialist to check on me daily, also. It was very comforting to know that he cared so much. I highly recommend him.

While other orthopedic doctors in the area were telling me that I was too old to be playing sports and that I should give up and just ride my bike, Dr. Schwartzberg saw things differently. He decided that I did need my ACL fixed and set out to do just that. Unfortunately, I was diagnosted with cancer less than 2 weeks later and lost the ACL graft. After my cancer treatments Dr. Schwartzberg once again set out to replace my ACL. I am back playing. Dr. Schwartzberg uses cutting edge techniques in his surgeries and does much of his work with professional, college and high school athletes yet still has time to help out the weekend warrior who still wants to play tennis or do a sprint triathalon. Dr. Schwartzberg is highly skilled, uses cutting edge surgical techniques, has excellent bedside manner with his patients.
