How do I describe Dr. Birnbaum, well at first meeting, he seems very quite, reserved, and not sociable at all. Now he was my second opinion and my last so I was understandable nervous. He was my doctor for many years of dealing with Endometriosis, we tried together many and all options avail to me, since he knew I still wanted to have children. So time and time again, we did laproscopies and lupron and all sorts of things. He may not have been the friendliest doctor but he knew his stuff and was open to any information I would look up on the Internet, either tell me more about it or would ease my mind about it not being good idea. As time went on him and everybody in his office became like family and much more friendly, but you definitely needed to get past there initial stuffiness. Well the time came and was going to help me have a baby, 2 months later, I was pregnant, even a surprise to him. Dr. Khater is an amazing doctor. When I found out I was pregnant he spent about 45 min. talking to my husband and me about what to expect. I did not feel like he was rushing us out of the room (even though he talks super fast!).He was very kind and compassionate. I felt at ease right away. When I had a miscarriage a few weeks later, Dr. Khater was very comforting. He had just come in to the office and immediately helped me. He set up my D&C at St. Joe's Hospital. My husband and I were very pleased with the attention and care Dr. Khater provided for us. I would recommend him to anyone. One a side note, everyone at St. Joes was amazing as well. They also speak very highly of Dr. Kahter there!
I was referred to Dr. Taras from my friend Sharon and he came highly recommended. I had a hysterectomy a year ago in March and I was experiencing some problems such as emotional highs and lows, etc. since I'm in menopause now. Sharon told me that Dr. Taras could help me with prescribing natural hormones. I don't want to take regular hormones since I was at a "pre-cancerous stage" when I had my hysterectomy. First of all, Dr. Taras' office staff are so helpful and kind! After I explained my situation, they were able to squeeze me right in the very next day to see him. Dr. Taras is one special and unique doctor in this day and age. His bedside manner is a lost art and he made me feel like I was his only patient. He took time to get to know me and ask me all kinds of questions and was genuinely concerned about my welfare. Dr. Rosenshein performed my TAH along with the removal of my right ovary on April 20, 2012 and he is AMAZING!!!! A fantastic gynecological oncologist with a wonderful bedside manner (VERY RARE!).
He explains everything in a language that anyone is able to understand and he LOVES to draw pictures!
Although he is a very busy doctor, I have never felt that he was rushing or that I was part of a cattle call. We all know THAT feeling!
I can not say enough or recommend him enough. You would not be sorry having him as your doctor.

Not only did he deliver both of my children via csection but he did my tubal, and later my hysterectomy. I saw him for every appointment while pregnant and otherwise. He takes the time to listen and answer questions and he is really funny also. He makes you feel comfortable and his office is wonderful also.
I have gone to Dr Cooley for the births of 2 children as well as a recent surgery. The entire staff as well as the doctor himself are always kind and are there to answer any questions you may have. There is never a long wait in the waiting room, or once you are in the back. He always take the time to explain any concerns you may have and you never feel rushed. He helped to keep me in check while I was giving birth without being rude or rushing. I give this office 5/5 stars and would recommend them to anyone. I have recommended him to others and they will all agree he is the best.
My original results were not quite what I expected. Dr. Schlesinger was kind enough to go back in and redo the first procedure and make sure I was happy with the outcome. He was very professional and really showed me that he wanted me to be happy. He is a perfectionist and I would recommend him to anyone contemplating plastic surgery. I am overjoyed with the results! I have suffered from Stage IV Endometriosis for 5-7 years and Dr Barnes is the first doctor I went to that treated me like I was in pain. His office is the most efficient doctor's office that I have ever been to. The entire office treats patients like they are already going through a lot and they want to make the office visit as easy on the patient as possible. Dr. Barnes is a very skilled surgeon withe excellent bedside manner. He is very skilled in robotic surgery which made my recovery a breeze compared to what the other doctors I consulted stated my recovery would be. He calls you HIMSELF before your surgery and calls you himself with the results of any pathology. He is wonderful and he saved my life.
It is with great pleasure that I recommend Dr. Styer for treatment options for symptomatic uterine fibroids. I consulted Dr. Styer for a subserosal fibroid that was becoming more symptomatic after dealing with menopause and post UAE fibroid calcification. Dr. Styer presented all options and I decided to be treated for a supracervical laprascopic hysterecomy.
Dr. Styer presented all options clearly and was very "hands-on" from the ultrasound imaging to listening to "my requests" (no morphine, 23 hour observation stay) to the operating room. He also put together a surgical team and an office staff that was first rate to ensure the best outcome for me as a patient. I could not ask for more given the type of surgery and the usual anxiety that accompanies it.
Dr. Styer is also a Fertility Specialist and highly recommended by other patients on other physician review web sites.

This Dr. Is amazing! Great bedside manor and really cares about his patients! Takes the time to go over every test and treatment option to make sure everything is being done to the best of his ability! Just a great and knowledgeable doctor! Highly recommended!!!!

I have been seeing Dr Aronson for probably 10 years now. She never makes me feel hurried and is a compassionate and sweet lady. In January of this year, 2012, I went to her for some bleeding and pressure problems. She ordered an Ultrasound in her office right then and had me scheduled for a D & C within the week. At the follow up appointment she shared my pathology results (Uterine Ca) and referred me to an OBGYN, Dr Amina Ahmed in Iowa City, specializing in Cancer. Within a month of my initial office visit I was in surgery and on my way to recovery. I am now receiving Chemotheraphy and my prognosis is good. With my type of cancer, aggressive Serous, the surgery put me at 30% chance of return and down to 15% with Chemo and radiation. I will forever be grateful to Dr Aronson for her diligence and care. Dr Admed has been such a wonderful combination of professionalism and compassion. She is friendly, cheerful, experienced and comforting. She took the time to communicate with me via "My Chart" on line, between my initial appointment until my surgery. She was sensitive to my concerns, answered my questions and gave encouragement. She worked hard to get me into surgery within 3 weeks. I was dianosed with aggressive Uterine CA Feb 24, 2012, after having a D & C with biopsy (Feb 17), by my regular OBGYN, in Davenport. By Fri. Mar 2nd, I was in Iowa City, referred to Dr Ahmed, OBGYN, specializing in cancer. The type of surgery dictated that I would need this particular specialist in the field of OBGYN. Dr. Koperek has been wonderful as I went through the process of a LAVH (laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy) due to cervical dysplasia. His gentleness and patience are far beyond any other doctor that I have been treated by, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone seeing compassionate care.
Dr. Harrison has been my OB/GYN since 1988. He is very understanding and compassionate. He is also knowledgeable, and I trust his wisdom completely. I have been under his care for endometriosis, and he has performed surgery for this.
After four kids via C-Section I needed a bathroom every ten minutes. Vacations, parties, even car rides had to be planned around my bathroom breaks. I went to Dr. Shafizadeh at the insistence of a co-worker whose husband had been operated on by Dr. Shafizadeh for Kidney Cancer. My friend and her husband kept raving about how smart and kind he is. They were right. not only has he fixed my bladder (something called a sling surgery), but he is also lovely, kind, and really cares. I am sending my whole family to him now.
Dr. Kurian is one of the best physicians who has treated me. She is very professional and easy to talk to on a personal level. She delivered my youngest child. Even though I was happy to not be pregnant anymore I really missed seeing her during my prenatal visits. I have no reservations about recommending her to family and friends.
