Dr. Banuelos has a great personality (gentle, compassionate, patient, funny) and, more importantly, is an expert in his field - gyn. surg.
He's about 50, from Chicago, and also speaks spanish.
After I struggled for a few years with heavy bleeding, prolapse, and anemia I had to find a doctor I could trust. I had my heart set on a female doctor and found that no one (I tried three) made me feel as comfortable as Dr. Banuelos. He gave me all the informaton I needed to accept the fact that surgery was necessary.
The first doctor I went to didn't address the side effects of Lupron or the fact that it was only a temporary fix. The side effects seem to be permanent. She did not suggest a biopsy to rule out cancer. She was very hard to understand (heavy accent) and seemed impatient when I asked for more information. The second and third doctors were not gentle. This doctor is my gynecologist. She is the best! She was the first person to locate a lump in my breast and we discovered that I had invasive ductal carcinoma. I cant thank her enough for finding the lump on my very first visit to her. She has also been helpful in preparting me for my hysterectomy with BSO. She has an excellent bedside manner, and is dilligent in calling her patients back herself and speaking with them when ever they need her.

After my son was born 10 years ago, I began experiencing very heavy, painful periods lasting anywhere form 9 to 11 days. They were usually accompanined by low back pain, severe cramping and limited my activities for almost half of the month. My GP had only treated this problem with oral medication, however, the problem continued to worsen over the years. I sought the help of Dr. Hanley after several referrals from family and friends. Right from the start, his office staff was very friendly and helpful, and he was able to get me in right on time (assuring me my time was as valuable as his, ver important in my book). He listened to my problems, and surprising refreshing gave me several options and then asked me which on eI would like to go with, even telling me to take my time to research all the options he had given me and get back to him when I was ready. Dr. Doug Hansen has been truly amazing! I have a very complicated medical history and his patience, compassion, and commitment to making sure I receive the very best that Denver medicine has to offer seems to have no limits. Every member of my family (including extended family) has their needs taken care of by the Foothills Family Practice staff. Doctors Mike Dunn and Doug Hansen run their practice with a commitment to quality versus quantity, treating a tremendous variety of conditions and all age groups. I have been seeing Dr Saxena for several month`s now . She did a Lap to figure out the pain I have been dealing with for years . So figured out I had Adenomyosis and suggested a LSH . She let me take my time to see if this is what I wanted to do . I researched LSH and Andenomyosis for several month`s . And found that a LSH was the only way for me to find relief . So on Febuary 19th I went in for my LSH . Not only did she take care of this she exsplained what happened to my husband and myself after everything was done . But she waited till the day after to exsplain it to me , making sure I understood what she did . She has had a great bedside manner and very professional too . I would suggest her to anyone in this area . I even suggested her to my oldest sister . Who has started going to her verses the Dr she has been going to for years . I went to Dr. Smith for second opinion after being told by my gynecologist that I had invasive cervical cancer and should have radical hysterectomy immediately. Dr. Smith was recommended to me by more than one medical professional in the area. He spent over an hour with just me at my first visit, answering questions, providing information, checking for understanding, and using photos, diagrams, and books to explain things to me. Never had a doctor spent so much time explaining things to me. Even with follow up visits, Dr. Smith takes his time to explain things and never makes me feel he is rushed to get to the next patient. His calm and gentle nature is comforting and reassuring. He is a TOP doctor! I have never been treated by anyone in the medical field near his caliber!

Dr. Lotze is wonderful! He is professional, supportive, extremely knowledgable, and makes you feel like you're the most important person in the world when he's working with you. He and his associate, Dr. Miles (also wonderful!), performed a minor surgery to support my urethra, but went the extra step to check that everything else looked good - bladder, etc. Turns out that I had an unexpected and extremely tiny growth on my bladder. Dr. Lotze suspected that it was nothing major, but took an extra 30 minutes to remove the growth and cauterize the area as a precaution. Well, it was a surprise to all of us when it turned out to be malignant. I shudder to think what would have happened had he not noticed the growth and removed it at this tiny stage. He has since referred me to a specialist for precautionary followups, but I will forever be grateful for his thorough treatment. In March of 2005, I flew 3000 miles from New Jersey to undergo a hysterectomy performed by Dr. Samimi. I chose Dr. Samimi because he is an innovative surgeon who pioneered a unique method of performing an open hysterectomy. The technique know as "intrastromal abdominal" or "gentler hysterectomy" is less painful and less bloody than the traditional open hysterectomy performed by the vast majority of ob/gyns in this country. As fate would have it, the surgery turned out to be far more complicated and invasive than anybody could have anticipated. In addition to the obvious diagnosis:fibroids with a very enlarged uterus, Dr. Samimi discovered a six pound retroperitoneal mass that was causing secondary hypertension. A less talented surgeon would probably have closed me up and referred me to another surgeon following the hysterectomy. Dr. Rebecca Loomis and the other health care providers at Neighborhood Healthcare provide outstanding care. Rebecca Durham the nurse practioner working with Dr. Loomis is very caring and compassionate. They take the time to listen to my concerns and are proacvtive when treating me. After I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids I had a UFE procedure. Unfortunately it led to a severe infection. He is part of The Physician & Midwife Collaborative Practice. When I was hospitalized for over a week with the infection each doctor in the practice had a turn on duty in my ward. They all treated me with the utmost respect and concern. Dr. Ahdoot exhausted every other possibility before resorting to my partial hysterectomy. At age 45 he was the first male gynogolgist I ever had. He was gentle and yet straight forward. It is obivious his years of experience have done him well in knowing how to treat his patients both physically emotionally and intellectually.

Dr. DeMasi is the most thorough and thoughtful doctor around. When in his care he makes you feel as if you are his only patient. Dr. Tackitt has truly proven to be a very professsional, skilled, friendly, encouraging, and trustworthy OB! He gained our trust from the very beginning. Upon finding out we were pregnant, our general physician (a woman) highly recommended Dr. Tackitt. He has been extremely personable and remembers our oldest daughter's name at each visit, making sure to include her during this exciting time in our lives. He is very thorough as well, having repeatedly reviewed my past operational report from a previous c-section, as I had some complications from it. He assured me continually that he would do everything possible to provide me with the best care possible during and after my surgery. And the quality of his work is excellent! I didn't have to have staples after my surgery since Dr. Tackitt gave me hand sutures.

I recommend Dr. Robert Smith because he is very trustworthy, experienced and friendly. I think what sets him apart from other physicians is how he takes time to pray with you. Just before my surgury he came by and prayed with my husband and I.
I received a total hysterectomy. Office care was always prompt, no long waiting and cheerful and very clean!
Dr. Smith is known to be one of the best Physicans for GYN. Just to note, Dr Smith only specializes in GYN.
