If you are looking for an outstanding ob/gyn doctor in Queens--then I highly recommend Dr. Martin. Dr. Martin sincerely cares about her patients. She has a great bedside manner, follows up with patients concerns and goes beyond to make sure her patients sure her patients are healthy and ok. Unlike some others, Dr. Martin orders the necessary tests she professionally believes you should have it. Take, for example, she will ask you about your family history. If you tell her something runs in your family, she will not only recommend that you are monitored --but will remember and follow up to make sure she orders the necessary battery of test to make sure your are ok. Many other doctors will make the recommendations but will not follow-up and order necessary testing in advance and as a precaution. It is very important -- especially for people of color to get screened EARLY. Dr. Martin will not leave you hanging.

I would recommend Dr. Mallette to any patient searching for answers to difficult and unusual metabolic or endocrine diseases. He treats his patients with a genuine caring approach and yet such a professional. He viewed my medical problem with an open mind and has given me hope.
I am encouraged by the possibility that we may be able to control and understand the problems that I am having.

Dr. Mac is kind of a smartass, but he knows what he is doing. He delivered my VBAC baby with patience and skill.
He also gave me a hard time at one of my prenatal appointments because I was over 200#. I am nearly six feet tall and I gained less than 25# over the course of my pregnancy. I hit 200# at about seven months along. He may have been trying to be funny but I was not amused.
That said, if you can stand his sense of humor he is a skilled and caring doctor who will help you however he can.
He is also an editorial advisor of obgyn.net, so you can go there and read the forums with his older posts (he has not posted in the forums for some time now) and see some of his manner and opinions to get a better idea if he is a good match for you.

I want anyone who needs a doctor in this field , to go see dr sama. I loved him and still do he is the best. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy on december 27, 2007 I was very scared ,but he and his office are the best they made me feel very comfortable answered all my concerns .He is very well respected by all the staff at the hospital , which made me feel good. May GOD bless him . Thank you for everything DR. SAMA More doctors should learn from Dr Sama it would help to know how to talk and let us know that we are important and listen to the patient and value what the doctor has to say...

I saw Dr. Ritter for the first time for a Well Woman exam. He entered the room prior to my exam, sat down and actually talked to me. He was taking notes, but everytime I spoke, he stopped and actually LOOKED AT ME while I was talking. When he was sure I was finished, then and only then, did he go back to note taking. After my exam (which was extremely gentle) I was asked to meet him in his office. Once in there, he picked up that I had other issues going on...emotionally. He asked about it..and of course I spilled my guts. Stressful job, crumbling personal relationship, my sister was dying..the whole world coming down on me. He immediately began to refer me to someone that could help and gave me a title of a book to pick up in the interim. I accredit my current now stable state of mind to this man who stepped up and stepped out to help me. I would highly recommend Dr. Jack Ritter to anyone!

dr. maggie yu is a role model that other doctors should learn from. she was my doctor as well as my two adult daughters. i would never suggest a doctor for my daughters unless it was the very best, and that who dr. maggie yu is, the very best. i had an undiagnosed illness for several years and went to many so called doctors to hopefully get a diagnosis and they did not know what it was. after my first initial visit with dr. yu, explaining to her what the symptons i had been suffering with for so long, she came up with the name of the illness. we worked on a regume of certain pills and other things to ease the illness and after the first month or two, things were becomming controlable. she was my doctor for four years and i hope that i will have her for much longer. thankyou dr. yu

Dr. Nakamura has delivered both of my children, both of which resulted in emergency/unplanned deliveries. He is friendly and makes you feel like he cares, remembering your issues from one appointment to the next. He is very thourough and I never feel rushed during our appointments. That is my number one reason for choosing to, or not to see a physician. I don't feel safe when not listened to.
His support staff is not the best. But it's worth trudging through them in order to receive trustworthy care.

Dr. Majors is a wonderful person and a great doctor. In the six years I have known him I have found that he's not just a doctor but a friend to everyone, he if funny, honest, caring, and does not beat around the bush about things, he is very up front with everyone about their health but my #1 reason for staying with Dr. Majors is the fact that he LISTENS to his patients!! He delivered my beautiful baby girl on 4-21-03 by c-section and my handsome son on 8-12-06 and I dont think anyone else could have made me feel so comfortable and I was not a bit scared, now he's going to be bringing my 3rd child into the world in october 2008 and im so ready. Dr. Babikian is my internist and I've been going to him for about 10 yrs.
I was recommended to him by an ER doctor when I first moved to San Diego and was told that a lot of doctors go to him because they like him and find him excellent. My husband and sons go to him and quite a few of our friends. He is thorough, learned, patient, comforting, trustworthy, diligent, understanding and has a good bedside manner. We recommend him highly.

I switched OB/GYN doctors to Dr. Karen Lee because after going through menopause and lots of uncomfortable symptoms, she really helped my quaity of life. She believes and prescribes bio-identical hormones from the compound pharmacy where my last doctor didn't. I believe they are better and have helped me with sleep interruptions(due to hot flashes), memory problems, mood swings, etc. I have recommended her to my friends.
She is calm, comforting and is a good listener. Her nurse is pretty good about answering phone message and doing the grunt work with blood tests and prescriptions. She's very helpful and considerate. I like the fact that it's a smaller office where I don't feel like a number in those larger offices.

Dr. Harding delivered my son and was our family physician until he left Canada. He is simply awesome: caring, knowledgeable and always available to answer questions.
When my delivery turned out tricky and my son's life was in danger, he never communicated any sense of panic. The result was that I remained calm and was able to concentrate on the job at hand. My son turned out to be a healthy 9 lbs 9 onzes baby, thanks to his dedication and vigilance.
When he left my husband and I missed him... and, 15 years later, we still miss him.
I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Harding as thorough, trustworthy and diligent doctor with a wonderful, caring sense of humor.

I recommend Dr. Shawl because he has changed my views on doctors. I saw a different ob/gyn when I was pregnant with my first daughter and it was not a pleasant experience. When I got pregnant with my second daughter last year, I became very nervous thinking that the next doctor I saw would be the same way. Fortunately, Dr. Shawl was recommended to me and I have had a great experience with him although I was pain in the neck. He was very patient and made the delivery of my daughter the way I would have liked during my first delivery. I am very happy to finally say I have a doctor that I trust.

I moved to this state a little over a year ago. Since I had female problems before I came here, I thought finding an OB/GYN I liked and trusted with my care and of my daughters in the future would be difficult. A friend reccomended Dr. McCullough. After my first visit I knew she was great. She listens, and genuinely cares about her patients. Her nurse Angie is exceptional! She also listens and is very helpful in many ways. Every appt. has been timely and I always feel like everyone in the office is really there to make you feel better.

Dr. Dawkins is a wonderful and caring doctor. His experience and professionalism calmed my nervous of having my first baby. Immediately I was able to develop a great doctor/ patient relationship. Dr. Dawkins was there for my first trimester and until I delivered my baby. I highly recommend Dr. Dawkins if you are looking for a good OB/GYN that is caring, comforting, friendly and experienced. Dr. Dawkins always answered any questions my Husband or I had regarding my pregnancy and didn’t make us feel dumb for asking.
Dr. Dawkins is a physician for the San Ramon Regional Medical Center (Birthing Center). After I had my baby Dr. Dawkins came over through out the day to check on me. I felt privileged to have my baby with Dr. Dawkins at SRRMC. Dr. Dawkins and Nursing Staff were great and on top of the things. The food was great. The noise level was quite. The celebration dinner was wonderful for my Husband and me. We probably enjoyed that too much. The room was comfortable and warm.

Dr. Martin is wonderful! He was there for me when another OB/GYN was at a loss with what to do with my abdominal pain. He worked with me through trying to medically correct the situation and eventually surgically had to fix the problem. Endometriosis was found and my ovaries needed to be removed. Dr. Martin all along the way was excellent in always checking on me and making sure I was doing okay, both mentally and physically. He also would always check that we were on track with my pain control and symptoms. He is such a caring man and one of the best physicians I have ever come into contact with and I work in the medical community. I would recommend him to anyone for any OB/GYN services they are in need of, he is awesome!

Dr Winch was the first doctor who was able to address the abdominal pain I'd been dealing with for years; I had gone to another OB/GYN and the symptoms I was having were dismissed as ovarian scaring and I should just take ibuprofen and deal with it.
Within 6 months of that advice I was in the ER with such severe pain that the doctor thought I either had a hot gall bladder or appendix. The final diagnosis confirmed what Dr. Winch had told me that I had endometriosis and it had now escalated to the level that it was time for surgery.
Dr. Winch did an LAVH and even though there was considerable scaring and I had never had a child he was able to complete the procedure without making an abdominal incision.

I originally was assigned Dr. McGinness by my HMO 24 years ago. She is highly intelligent and medically intuitive. She has cared for my husband, two boys (now young men), and myself with respect, intelligence, and caring concern. My youngest son had 48 ear infections his first 2 years of life. It was a trying time and she relied on me, his mother, for input she considered invaluable (her words) because a mother sees her child in a way that a clinician cannot--she is intuitively in touch with changes before they occur. There were plenty of times I would take my son in on completion of antibiotic therapy when she would ask me what I thought. I would reply with "he'll be febrile in 6-8 hours". She would send me home with a prescription and action plan "just in case". She would prescribe tests as needed-->never "testing" us to death--> judiciously. My original OB/GYN had retired (thankfully), and I had searched desperately for a new doctor since I had just recently had a baby. I did my research and the results were exceptional. Dr. Jennifer Santiago is remarkable. She is extremely knowledgeable and conversant. My original doctor was discourteous and frequently short, rarely giving needed explanations…Dr. Santiago is the direct opposite. She finds time for her patients and makes each visit comfortable. There is so much more I could say, though you should find out for yourself! I have recommended her to many of my female friends and family members. Note: The office is immaculate!
