For anyone with Kaiser Permanente insurance, I recommend Dr. Emily Wu. She is very cheerful, friendly, comforting, and always has the patient's best interest at heart. I came to her with fibroid problems and, with her help, settled on a hysterectomy. She walked me and my husband through the entire procedure and during my surgery took it upon herself to avoid cutting into a large tattoo on my stomach - even though I had not mentioned it at all. The only minor issue I had was being mad to feel like I should have been more upset about not being able to have kids anymore.
Dr. Rising has been my Dr. for over 10 years. He performed my hysterectomy in 2003. He has GREAT bedside manner and is always patient and kind. He is knowledgeable and listens to your concerns. His staff is professional, kind and very helpful and go above and beyond when called upon even if it's the weekend. I appreciate him so much and would recommend him to anyone.
I recently had a total hysterectomy, A&P repair, and a suburethral sling. Dr Karen Tammela's care before and after the surgery was outstanding. I had a complete recovery with no complications, and was even able to stop taking all pain medications by post op day 4. Doctor and her staff make sure they are available to you at all times.

Dr. Terbell is a superb practitioner and surgeon. She is not in Los Angeles, btw, but in Santa Barbara at Sansum Clinic. Every aspect of my surgery was handled with expertise, care, caution, and compassion. In addition to Dr. Terbell's clearly superior knowledge of gynecology, she is gentle, compassionate, and smart as a whip. This is not someone to see, however, for your yearly "wellness" exam and pap smear: her training means that she devotes most of her practice to women with health issues. Thank heavens! I would say that, if you need gynecological surgery or a second opinion, you couldn't make a better choice.
Dr. Bruice is a gynecologist who specializes in natural hormone therapy. He took the time to really listen to me, asked a lot of questions, and he didn't dismiss any of my symptoms. I showed up for my appointment 10 minutes early, and didn't even have to wait. He communicates promptly through email and is very clear in his explanations. I'm in surgical menopause and have really been struggling, he put a rush on my lab work so he could get my prescription to the compounding pharmacy quickly. For the first time in months I feel hopeful. Dr. Bruice only does hormone therapy and nothing else!
I recently had a vasectomy and like most men was extremely nervous about the procedure. After my procedure with Dr. Golden I realized I stressed for all those weeks for nothing. The procedure was absolutely painless and was over before I knew it. When Doctor Golden said we were all finished I was shocked as it was over before I knew it. He provided a very relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend Dr. Golden.

Dr. Raybon has been my doctor for 14 years. He's always been very helpful in explaining everything that could be done or could not be done to help me. He's performed 3 d&c, 2 exploratory laparoscopy, and 1 TLH/TOT surgeries. All surgeries were performed as he explained with no complications due to anything he needed to do. His personality is comforting, friendly, and very down-to-earth while being very professional. He has done alot for me both surgically and non-surgically to improve my health or at least address any issues I was having. I've had both quick and extended visits where even during the quick visits I never felt rushed. They just turned out to be just that. I told him exactly what was going on, he made a suggestion, then I was good-to-go. As for improvement, there's always room for improvement; however, I want to say he does everything he can to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technology.

All my visits to Dr. Hurwitz' office were very informative and highly uplifting.All the staff went out out of their way to make sure that my questions, concerns, and --, yes, fears were all positively addressed. I frankly not felt that comfortable with ANY medical staff, including Dr. Hurwitz, EVER !!! The lift was great, and I am super satisfied with my new look ! It has been the best investment in me I have ever spent !!!
Dr. Khalil is one of the greatest doctors I have ever met. She is compassionate, takes her time with you, and she is very educated. She has caught problems (severe dysplasia) and stopped them from escalating further. Thank you Dr. Khalil for your great service to our community. YOU ROCK!
The doctor is very friendly and she makes me feel as comfortable as possible during my visit. She takes the time to talk and answer any questions, I have never felt rushed at all during a visit to her office. She is an amazing doctor!!! Jo Bounds
