Dr. Hamilton and his staff and wonderful caring people. He has a great "bedside manner", is willing to take time and explain things in terms that you can understand and sometimes just sits ans chats for a minute. He did sinus surgery and septoplasty on me and I feel much better now and most importantly I CAN BREATHE through both sides of my nose (at the same time). His office also has a full time audiologist on staff.

Dr. Mays was suggested by my pharmacist. He works with compounding pharmacists using bio identical hormone therapy. He is very in depth in his exam, he orders a full blood work up and goes from those finding to prescribe a regime right for your situation. He and his staff make an uncomfortable doctors visit much nicer. I have been able to tell a marked difference physically since I began therapy.

I was sent to Shiri in 2004 after suffering from many years of pain and no doctor was ever really able to tell me what was wrong with me and always just filled me with drugs and sent me on my way. I was told I had endometriosis and polyps of the uterus by one doctor I had several DNC’s that never did anything but cause more pain. I had 2 late term miscarriages and 2 early term ones I didn’t know what to do I knew I could not keep living in this much pain forever. my PAC sent me to shiri and within one month I was in a had my surgery that I was told should have been years before she treated me so well talked to my like a person and not a chart or a doctor before and after the surgery she was wonderful she made sure that I was ok even months after the surgery knowing that I was young looking back all these years later she was just plain great. I was scared and she helped with my fears and in the end has made my life so much better.

Dr. Ottenritter delivered two of my three children - one at 28 weeks, the other at 37! He also did my hysterectomy, based on pre-cancerous PAP smears over several years. He is an extremely caring doctor, who understands women. Although I don't have any more OB concerns with him, and am free from the risk of cervical cancer, I still make the 45 minute drive once a year to his office. Not only is he a gem, but his office staff are wonderful women who really care about the patients, making each woman feel special!

Dr Gafori is a gynecologist oncologist. He is a very good and skilled surgeon and known for that. He is quiet and direct. Most times the appointments are not too late but occasionally, long waits happen. He has treated me for several years in conjuction with my regular gynecologist and communication between them is good. Positives are skills, but he is not much of a talker so be prepared if you have questions as you must ask them as he does not initiate much transfer of information. He will answer anything you ask, however.

Dr. Demasi preformed a complete hyterectomy, bladder repair, and repair of two hernias. The surgery was done with expertise. He lisens to you, answers questions and genuinely cares about each of his patients. He is never rushed and spends as much time as is needed no matter what the issues or how busy he is. I highly recommend him after years of searching for physician with his skills and personality. He also has a very good sense of humor.

Dr. Lehner is an orthopedic surgeon who works mostly with children who have spinal problems. I am impressed with his willingness to collaborate with his patients (me). I appreciate his "strait talk": he explains things thoroughly & in a way I can comprehend. He has a wonderful sense of humor - which is a blessing when recovering from back surgery!

Dr. Vandersluis, and his staff, are excellent in diagnosing neurological problems. They all are warm and friendly. They are good at calming the patient during diagnostic testing. Dr. Vandersluis has an excellent sense of humor, too!

Dr. Trottier was wonderful at putting my mind at ease and explaining everything to me before my TAH. I think it makes such a differance to have a doctor that you feel comfortable with and that treats you like an actual person instead of just another patient. I would highly recomend him to anybody!

I first saw Dr. Julia Chapman after a radiology report that read "highly suspicious ovarian malignancy." She looked at the same results and said, "I don't think so," and she was correct – it was endometriosis. She is a great doctor who truly cares about her patients. She listened and understood my biggest concerns. I highly recommend her to women who are facing cancer and need a gynecological oncologist. My surgery was at KU Med Center and it couldn't have gone better. She is an incredible doctor who not only knows exactly what to do but also has compassion for her patients – truly a rare combination. A friend whose situation was much more serious than mine received the same kind, caring, professional treatment from Dr. Chapman. I tend to have doctor-phobia, but Dr. Chapman cured me of that too!

I highly recommend Dr. Barber. I have been a patient of his for 10 or more years. I have ulcerative colitis and he gives exceptional care. His bedside manner is one of a caring and concerned person. I highly recommend Dr. Jane Dimopolous. She was warm and kind and took a great deal of time to listen and to explain every detail. She's had personal experience with many procedures herself, and so she had great empathy. Her knowledge base is very extensive and impressive. I have great faith in her abilities, and was satisfied with the surgical care I received from her.
Timothy Shawl M.D., Dr. Shawl is a warming, caring, funny, experienced doctor who provides EXCELLENT CARE. He is in all just an all around wonderful person. I have been one of his patients for 10 years now. He delivered my three children. I had three complicated pregencies in which Dr. Shawl took every precaution neccessary. I want to Thank him for all he has done for me and my family.

I recommend this doctor because I think he did a great job with my vaginal hysterectomy and pelvic repair in August 2006. He is a Gynecology Surgeon. He has done many of these surgeries, and could tell me exactly what to expect after the surgery. He called it perfectly! He also has a good sense of humor, and is very personable. I was extremely pleased with my surgery and recovery.

I am recommending Dr. Schwartz, because he is an amazing doctor! He was my OB for both of my pregnancies, and was absolutely awesome - my pregnancies were not easy ones, but he got my babies here and they were perfectly healthy! He has also been my gynecologist for the last 6 years. He did my first lap almost a year ago. He is compassionate, caring, and very patient. He really cares about you and what you are going through. He does all that he can to help keep you healthy and pain free. He is called to what he does, and it shows! Highly recommended!
I would recommend Dr. Clark for a number of reasons. First, if you are in need of a GYN/ONC, you won't find a better one. He takes time to be sure you understand everything that is going on . He is a wonderful surgeon, he is right there before, during and after your surgery. He was at hospital everyday after my surgery to check on my progress. He made sure all his orders were followed. He referred me to a wonderful RAD/ONC for treatment.

Dr. Motyka is the most compassionate, gifted, skilled surgeon I know. Eight years ago, I spent two years looking for a Gyn I would let come near me with a scalpal! It took two years to find Dr. Motyka. She has supported me for 7 years in my quest to keep my organs, in spite of multiple uterine fibroids, family history of ovarian cancer, and much physical discomfort. I never felt judged, rushed, or wronged in my process. Her business card says "holistic gynocology and conscious wellness". Her knowledge of bio-identical hormones, herbs, and complementary medicines rounds out her medical background. She is compassionate, thoughtful, supportive, patient, and generous.
Three weeks ago she did a supracervical laparascopic hysterectomy, with bilateral oopherectomy on me. This was my first surgical experience, and I have to say it was great, all around.
