Faye Ameredes is a totally one to one doctor. She has never been in a hurry, to see the next patient, she is a very thorough doctor. When I first went to see her, she did many tests, and every time she took the time to explain the findings in detail, answered all questions. When surgery day came she was there right before taking me to OR asked if I had any questions, promised me she would take care of me. After surgery, in my room she came by to check on me, asked me a series of questions, explained the procedures that she actually ended up needing to do and why. She is a wonderful and caring DR, and she treats you like a female with feelings and fears. I had a vaginal hysterectomy with removal of 1 ovary, cervix. I had a prolapsed bladder, and she had to make several repairs there as well. I have no abdominal incisions. After I got home, had some concerns, called her office, and her nurse called me back, then she conferred with Faye, and she called me back within an hour or so.... [More..]

I consider myself to be extremely fortunate to have Dr. Flax as my surgeon during the difficult time of my hysterectomy. Dr. Flax was professional, comforting, and refreshingly forthright at a time when I needed support and candor. Dr. Flax is a gifted and experienced physician and surgeon, and I will always be grateful for being in his care.

I had a previous surgery at Mayo, therefore it was highly recommended to have a hysterectomy at Mayo. Dr. Stanhope and his nurse were supportive and comforting. Just before surgery he made sure I had no further questions and that I was very comfortable with the procedure. He answered all my questions. At my post-op visit he was very caring and personal.

I love this entire practice (About Women) but she was outstanding! She listened to what I wanted and gave advice but in the end went with what I wanted which was a hysterectomy. I left the ovaries in her hands and in the end they needed to be taken out. She told me after that I was completely justified in my 'demanding' (my words) the operation even though the scans all showed no endometreosis because I was riddled like a sponge with it and aidenmyosis. She said she took one look and told the nurse it was no wonder I was adamant about the operation. All of this made me feel much better with my decision as I was having second thoughts about what I had done. I know that she wasnt right there with me in wanting me to go to this extreme in such a quick time frame as I had chosen, but she kept it to herself. Francine N. McLeod is an awesome doctor!

Dr. Akright is an OB/Gyn. I have been seeing him for several months since I moved to the San Antonio area and started having pains that I had experienced before. Dr. Akright took me very seriously and understood my concern. After several months of following me very closely, he informed me, very well, of all my options and guided me to what was best for me. This past week he performed a hysterectomy. I was very happy that his concern for me continued all through my time in the hospital. Unlike most doctors, he came in every day personally, even on the weekend to check on me and talk to me. He made sure every step of the way I understood what was happening to me. Dr. Akright is very caring and understanding. I have never had a OB/Gyn that listened so much to what I had to say about my own body. He is part of a large practice, but you would never know. The entire staff is helpful and friendly.

Dr. Sakovich is the greatest! I have suffered for years with endometriosis. Over the last year in particular the pain had become unbearable. I've had treatments but nothing worked for me and other doctors brushed off my complaints and didn't take my pain seriously. My old OB/GYN did not want to deal with the complexity of my particular case or the severity of it.
At my first appointment with Dr. Sakovich I was a total mess. I had spent days without a proper night's sleep and I was an emotional wreck from exhaustion and unbelievable pain. I felt hopeless and was prepared for another doctor to let me leave the office without answers. Instead he put his hand on my shoulder as I cried. He was very decisive about what needed to be done, there was no head scratching or wavering. I have been seeing Dr. Terranova for 3 years and she performed my hysterectomy due to fibroids. I think she's the best doctor I ever had. I never felt rushed by her. She always has time to answer questions about whatever I am concerned about. Although I had heavy bleeding from the fibroids she didn't push me to have a hysterectomy as I was reluctant for 2 years. She let me decide in my own time and understood my fear. There were absolutely no complications during surgery. She is very proficient.

I heard of Dr. Hanjani from a referral of a friend. I was new to the area and looking for a good doctor. Thanks to my friend I found a great one. He is the best doctor I could have asked for. I really wanted to have my first baby "naturally" and he was so supportive of my requests. He never pressured me into getting a C until it was obvious that we had to go that route. I tell all of my friends about him and recommend him to anyone. Now I live about 30 minutes away but I can't imagine going to anyone else. He will bring my second child into the world.

I have had Interstitial Cystitis and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction for over 13 years now. I have traveled around the USA trying to find a competent and compassionate Urologist and have FINALLY found the VERY BEST Urologist - Dr. Martha Boone.
She is very thorough by doing the Urodynamics Testing, Ultrasound, Cystoscopy, and thorough pelvic/bladder examination. Dr. Boone wants to help her patients - not just throw medications at patients like 99.9 % of Urologist have done via my own experience. Dr. Boone wants to know exactly what is going on with a patients bladder to see what truly needs to be done. She understands that there is no magic bullet - but it is imperative to try to figure out what is going on and how to possibly correct the problem at hand.

I just wanted to reccommend Dr. Diana Hager practicing out of Spokane WA. in the Sacred Heart Doctors Building. I have had many obgyn problems and she has stuck beside me for about four years. She is a wonderful person and really spends a lot of time with her patients. She listens and believes what I say and she is trying very hard to solve my pain issues. I definately reccommend her...HIGHLY.

Dr.Jack performed a Hysterectomy,and also tied my bladder up for me I was pretty worried at my age but he explained it well to me.He was very comforting to me.His office seamed so pro he doesnt make you go here and there for test it's all done there I feel that makes a big difference. He feels your time is yours and it shouldnt be wasted.But for us older people I think he should speak up a little Dr.Jack

I know at least a dozen people that also have Dr. Kellogg as a obgyn. He delivered many of my friends babies. He is a caring, funny, serious doctor and always puts the patients needs first. He tells you the way it is, and has a hidden box of tissues in his desk. He makes you laugh when he pulls them out. I've had a prior surgery with him before the Big H and obiously, I trust him with my life. He is an angel!

I have been a patient of Dr Hutchinson since 2002. He performed my hysterectomy (2003) and ovary removal (2007). I respect Dr Hutchinson because he listens to me and trusts that I know my body. He is very easy to talk with. He explains the issue or condition and provides me with the available options. He includes me in the decision making process.
He also has a very professional and friendly staff. They take really good care of me as a patient.

Dr. Lyles is a gynecologist. He was the first doctor in two years to actually listen to what I was saying. Most doctors would tell me that fibroids should not cause pain. After visiting his office he scheduled me for an exploratory surgery to get a better look at what was going on with me. After the surgery it was found not only did I have uterine fibroids, but also adenomyosis. Along with several ovarian cysts. After the options were presented Dr. Lyles and I came to the conclusion that a TAH LSO (total abdominal hysterectomy w/removal of left ovary) was the best choice for me. Dr. Lyles was comforting. He was very quick to ensure that I was comfortable and aware of what to expect. Dr. Lyles truely cares about the women that he treats. He took the time to answer all questions and concerns that I had. His nursing staff is just as caring. I am thankful that there are doctors like Dr. Lyles.

Dr. Capps is my regular physician who I see on a regular basis because of some health problems. I had seen other doctors in her practice, but she was the first one to recommend an ultrasound to find out why I was having so many female issues. Dr. Capps is very caring and helpful - she takes her time with her patients and doesn't make you feel like you are wasting her time. My daughter is a patient of hers also - she was the first doctor to recommend she be tested for ADD (which we found out she does have and is now doing much better in school). I would highly recommend Dr. Capps to anyone looking for a family physician.

Dr. Ballas is a WONDERFUL Doctor, not only for the treatment I recieved before and after my total Hyster. but as a GYN. and as a person.
I frist came to Dr. Ballas when I was 23and he opened his new practice. I had been going to another GYN. for years and still having tons of unexplaines pain and problems and at 23 with no children I was told by her that a Hyster. was recommended to cure my problems. The thought at 23 of never having children( I was already married for 2 years) was horrifying. I was driving home from work one day and looked at a billboard and saw an add for a new Doctor in our area and thought I would get a fresh new opinion. I made an appointment and in my first visit he saw how distraught I wasand cleared his appointments took me in his office and looked up all of the info on my case and printed up articles
and explained to me what my problem was (It had A name?? and other people had it and it was tolerable and I did not need a HYsTER>!! atleast not at 23 and b... [More..]

This doctor saved my life. An amazing surgeon with a great bed-side manner, Dr. Chalas is Board Certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology & Gynecologic Oncology. Thoroughly expert in gyn cancers, Dr. Chalas is very well respected by her peers in this field and is very involved in gynecological cancer research and clinical trials. Last I knew she sat on the board or was heavily involved with the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists (SGO) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
She is calming, confident, caring, and angelic and will be forever a hero in my eyes.
A very busy practice and appointments are tough to get..but persist and insist on seeing the best.

Met Dr. Sironi in a drugged state in an emergency suite. Don't remember much until I woke up the next day after having my one of my ovaries, a fallopian tube, and those darn cysts removed. He did a great job of explaining everything, he was friendly, and was patient with me. I experienced some problems with my recovery (due to the way my body wanted to deal with the task at hand) and he made sure I was informed and at the point where I could take care of it myself. I regret that I didn't meet him sooner as I may have avoided the trip to the hospital with the conversations we had. I was only visiting nurse practioners for my yearly exams before I found out that a doctor is the only way to go! After the fact, I've met many other women who have nothing but great things to say about him.
Highly recommended.
