I was referred to Dr. Moscarelli by my former ob/gyn who was relocating and leaving the state. The Greater New Haven OB/GYN group are a cluster of doctors and certified nurse/midwives and I have had nothing but positive experiences regarding my recent history and subsequent surgery. Dr. Moscarelli is the kind of physician who will always make time for you; you are important, you are not just a number. He has the experience and ability to put you and your significant other at ease knowing that you will be cared for. As a result, your experience is a positive one and I know that helped me to heal quickly and nicely. I felt confident going into surgery, as frightened as I was, knowing that Dr. Moscarelli would take care of me. I was treated for TAH BSO and I did remarkably well. I have to give this doctor kudos b/c my husband and I were both treated well and experienced the lower amount of stress and anxiety that might have accompanied this procedure otherwise.

Dr Harold Cates is an exceptional orthopaedic Surgeon He is highly skilled in what he does.He replaced my left hip in dec 2006 And it is doing wonderful.He is going to replace my right one May 14 And i have no worries at all.And when i was in the hospital he would come and see me every morning to see how i was doing.He takes the time to talk and to listen .That is very important to me.I had another Doctor at Maryville Orthopaedic tell me there wasn't anything wrong with me that by losing some weight .wouldn't take care of. well i have lost 150 pds and Dr Cates took the X-rays and found that both of my hips were bad the other Dr didn't even take X-rays .So when you have Dr Cates treating you .You get treated like a person not a number.Thank you Dr Cates for caring

Dr. Theresa A. Rush, MD is a very capable and compassionate ob/gyn physician and surgeon. i have only the highest praise for the treatment that i received under her care. i had history of severe anemia and fibroid tumor(s) w/ cervical polyps and had a hysterectomy in December, 2006.

Dr. Tsaltas is a wonderful doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone. I have been with him for about 8-9years now. He has done 3 surgeries on me for endometriosis. He has always been supportive of me in my decissions. He keeps me well informed and never afraid to ask any questions or to come in and see him when I feel it to be nessecary.

I've been pleased with Dr.Ortiz. I want to thank the previous poster for telling me where she it going.. I just got the letter yesterday.
I have to admit that I feel a loss. I really prefer a female doctor, and I hope that the hospital will find another competent female doctor in Dr.Ortiz's stead.

Dr. Koh performed total laparoscopic hysterectomy in October, 2006 to remove my large fibroids. His skills and experience are top class in this country and was able to perform laparoscopic hysterectomy rather than conventional hysterectomy, even though my fibroids were the size of 20 week pregnency. He is easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable. I recovered very quickly with no complications. I highly recommend him to anyone who is suffering from huge fibroids.

Dr. Dement is one of the most kind and caring physicians I have ever known and worked with. I seen him for several issues and each time he has been wonderful, had patience for me and my husband. He was meticulious to ensure all of my pre-op health issues were addressed prior to surgery. He was able to see "all of me" and not just my reproductive organs.
He spends time with his patients both in the office and the hospital. His professionalism is evident in everything he does. He responds quickly to patient problems or questions. He is very careful to make sure his patients understand and feel comfortable in his care. All of his staff is excellent. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a gynecologist. He does not practice obstetrics any longer.

For years I have dealt with female issues including cervical cancer and dysplasia and leading to now excessive bleeding. I have seen doctor after doctor trying to get help and the most anyone would do is suggest birth control pills. I finally found Dr. Hahn who after looking at my test results from biopsies and ultrasounds has suggested a hysterectomy. I am so glad to finally have found a doctor who is willing to actually do something rather than pass me off. I would suggest Dr. Hahn to any woman who is in need of a doctor who actually listens.

Dr. Archangeli is the best! He has been my doctor for the past three years, and last year found fibroid tumors. When my pain reached a point that I could not tolerate any longer, it only took phone call and one meeting to schedule surgery. He performed a laparoscopic hyterectomy, and what a great job! It was any easy recovery for me, I was back at work after 2 weeks, and feel back to normal with no pelvic pain after 8 weeks. I would recommend him to anyone in the Minden or Carson City area. He is easy to talk to, listens to every concern or question, and gives you all the answers you need to make decisions. He also has a great sense of humor, which is wonderful. He was very reassuring before surgery, since I had never had any surgeries prior to this. All the nurses and technicians at the medical group love him as well.

Dr. Nabil Aboukhair is very informative. Because of my age, he tried all other options prior to hysterectomy. He has wonderful bedside manners, pre and post-op was and still is wonderful. I have been his patient for 10+ years and do not have ANY complaints. I recommend his services to anyone. Especially if you have a fear of his type of services. He has a special way of talking you through each procedure and makes you feel at home in his office.
Dr. Brabson in my opinion is the very best doc around. I have been going to him for about 10 yrs. I have recommended him to so many of my friends and family and the love him too! He delivered my son in Aug 2006 by c-section. He is a very down to earth, compassionate, understanding doctor. There are not many doctors like that anymore. His staff are as nice as him. If you will just give Brabson a try you will not regret it and that's a "PROMISE". His office is at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville at the clark towers building. Call and make your appt. today!

After being told for several years (17) that I could not have children. I found Dr. Velez. I had tumors in my uterus. In July 2000, Dr. Velez removed some of them. In May 2004 I was blessed with a little girl. In Oct. 2006 I did have to have a hysterectomy. But everyday I thank God for Dr. Velez and my daughter. because if it wasn't for his reassurance and knowledge, I would have had a hysterectomy many years prior.

My regular Dr. referred me to Dr. Dago when I began having trouble with my periods. He was very thorough and professional. I loved the fact that his practice is set up so that if you are NOT having a baby, you have a different time frame for office visits. In other words, you don't have to deal with children in the waiting room! Also, there is never longer than a 15 minute wait to see him.
I was worried that in our small town, the services provided would be a little outdated! NOT so...Dr. Dago has practiced in several larger cities and is using methods that are clearly up to date and modern. He used a Gyrus Kinetic Sealer during my TAH/BSO and I had virtually NO pain. I left the hospital less than 2 days later with NO pain medication! Wonderfully funny and friendly!! Caring and diligent even with my family! YOU'll LOVE him!!

I have been a patient of Dr Khouzami since he came to our area in 1999. He delivered 2 of my 4 children. In 1999 and 2005. He is an awesume doctor..great bedside manner, trustworthy, and very caring...not a in and out in 5 minute no time for questions doctor. He even returns his own phone calls to answer any questions or concerns you may have. He listens to you and remembers you...to alot of doctors you are just a number but not to Dr. Khouzami. He seen me with my baby he delivered 9 months later at the hospital because she needed ear tubes for recurrent ear infections and he took the time to come over to me while we were in the recovery area to check on my daughter to see what was wrong. Besides being a high risk pregnancy patient I have also received treatment for ovarian cysts and most recently a fibroid on my uterus resulting in a hysterectomy. I am one and half weeks post op from that surgery and I feel pretty good and I feel that is due to his caring hands that my recover... [More..]

Dr. Lopez is an Ob/Gyn, he not only delivered my baby but performed my hysterectomy.
I was 3 weeks post-partum, my bleeding was increasing by the day, I went to the ER but they sent me home, found nothing. The next day Dr. Lopez checked me & found placental tissue, he scheduled me for a D&C to make sure there wasn't any more tissue left behid. During the procedure my bleeding continued, Dr. Lopez tried several procedures to stop the bleeding but none worked, his last resort was the hysterectomy.
Dr. Lopez has a wonderful bed-side manner, very cheerful & up-beat all the time, no matter what. He always makes the time to answer all questions, whether in the office or by phone. He is dilligent in his practice, best Ob/Gyn I've ever had!!

I would recommend this doctor because he is very thorough. He spent a lot of time with me through all my questions. He is a very personable doctor. Whenever I call the office with questions he gets right on the phone to answer them himself. I had previouslyy had a bad experience with an OB doctor, and he has reassured me that they are not all like that. He is very thorough with the tests he orders before he does any radical procedures. He was very reassuring.

Dr. Sison-Alidio was the gyn who diagnosed my cancer. I was post-menopausal and when I told her my symptoms, she was on the ball and knew exactly what to look for. I first saw her in late October and after just 2 tests, she knew what was wrong and who to bring in on the surgery. She was also very quick at scheduling everything.
She is a very caring and comforting doctor. When she told me that it definitely was cancer, she hugged me until I stopped crying.
Before my D&C, I had never had any operation of any kind. She knew how anxious I was and reassured me and told me she does all her own surgeries. The day of my D&C she held my hand until the anesthesia kicked in. She was also there in the recovery room with me when I woke up.
She did the same when I went in for my TAH/BSO.
I highly recommend her to anyone and will really miss having her as my gyn (because of the cancer, I have a new gyn/oncologist).

Dr. Dillon is a GYN Oncologist who was called in by my regular gyn to assist with my TAH/BSO because of uterine cancer and I am now his patient. He has a great bedside manner and stopped in every chance he could to check up on me and get me laughing (I was in the hospital for a week due to other problems). And I was at a different hospital than he usually practices at!
When I was re-hospitalized 2 weeks after the initial surgery, he stopped by (on a Sunday afternoon) to check up on me and joked with me about missing the hospital food and staff.
He always makes sure ANY question I have is answered and that I understand exactly what he's talking about. He also makes me feel very at ease during exams and he never rushes anyone.
I've been to umpteen different gyns over 30+ years and he's been the best by far.

I was referred to Dr. Paul Perry by my ob-gyn. He was concerned that I needed minor surgery for adhesions from 3 C-sections and an abdominal hysterectomy.
When Dr. Perry found that I had several things going on medically, I admit I was skeptical. I called several friends in the medical field to ask if I should get a second opinion. Their answers were all the same - One said, "well, you could; but I honestly don't know who that would be. Dr. Perry is considered the final opinion in the southeast". My ob-gyn, who referred me, told me Dr. Perry was "the guru of pelvic pain". A friend who worked for him at the start of her career told me, "he demanded excellence from me and made me a better technician; if I were in your place, I can honestly say I would not consider anyone else." Yet another friend said, "he wrote the book on pelvic pain" (I learned that he did literally write a book on pelvic pain - it was on a table in his office!).

If you need a Doctor who has a personality, and listens to you regarding your problem, then Dr Davenport is who I would go and see. I have been a patient of his for over 6 years, and never have I had any problems with call backs, or help in trying to allieviate my pain. Dr Davenport is a great guy and easy to talk to.
